NY Giants must win this weekend against the Buccaneers
With last week’s loss to the Saints, the Giants find themselves in a situation where they really need a win this week to stay on the top of the NFC East Division.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a team in transition that’s improving each week. They have been able to show that already – honestly, they should have been the Washington Redskins in Washington.
On paper, both Giants and Buccanneers look fairly well matched up but a deeper review shows that Giants should be able to get the win.
In terms of team stats, here is the breakdown:
Tampa Buy Buccaneers
Offense: 11th
Defense: 16th
New York Giants
Offense: 14th
Defense: 32nd
The Buccaneers rely heavily on the running game and their defense if fairly young and inexperienced. Also, Jameis Winston is still fairly green in his first season post college.
Here are keys for the game:
- Giants offense will need to score around 3o points (not 50+)
- Giants defense will have to shutdown Doug Martin and their running game.
- Giants offense will need to play an efficient and clean game again – no more than 1 turnover allowed.
- Eli, Odell, and Ruben have to get it going again.
- Offensive line will need to protect Eli again.
- DRC and (Prince?) need to get a few interceptions.
I am predicting a final score of 31 to 24 Giants over Buccaneers! Go Big Blue!
