Feelin’ a bit of deja vu circa 2014
Even though 2015 is definitely not 2014, I can’t ignore the feelings – feels like 2014 all over again. With that said, I hope I am wrong! I mean if you look at the record and the schedule, Giants find themselves in the exact same place as last year. They started 0-2 then won 3 in a row and then hit a “green wall”
– The Eagles! From there, they lost to the Cowboys and the season slide continued. Aside from the record, there are similarities and there are differences. Similarly, the Giants continue to have issues staying healthy – every week they are playing either hurt or have a void in critical positions. What is up with that?? I really miss Victor Cruz!
But now, let’s look at the positive differences.
- Offense is playing better than last year!
- Special Teams is playing better than last year!
- Eli Manning is playing better than last year!
So is the 2015 season over and are we doomed? I think NOT – we are still tied for first place and this Sunday, the Giants are playing the Cowboys, who are without Romo, so that have a very good shot of winning this one.
To win, they will have to play a lot better on offense and the defense and will need to stop the Cowboy’s running game. Finally, the battle at the line, on both sides, will be critical. Go Blue!
